Welcome to the Daily Pause, your 5-minute daily meditation podcast. Each day I'll guide you through a short practice of presence and calm to help you move through your day with clarity and ease. Think of this as your daily reset—a few minutes to breathe, reflect, and return to center.

Welcome. Take a moment to find a comfortable position. Allow your body to settle and your shoulders to drop. Then gently close your eyes.
Let’s start off today by taking a slow, calming breath in through your nose, and a gentle exhale out of your mouth. Again, breathe in—and breathe out.
Place your hand on your heart or your belly, and feel the gentle rise and fall of each breath. This is a simple gesture of kindness toward yourself.
Today we’re practicing self-compassion. So often, we’re quick to offer kindness to others, but we can be hard on ourselves. Think of a time you were struggling, felt like a failure, or were simply having a hard day.
Now imagine a kind friend speaking to you. What would they say? They might say, “This is hard. I’m here for you.” Or, “It’s okay to feel this way.”
I invite you to speak those words to yourself silently. Allow yourself to receive that same kindness.
Breathe in that kindness. Breathe out all that self-judgment. Know that you’re doing your best—and that is always enough.
Remember that everyone struggles, everyone feels pain, and everyone makes mistakes. You are not alone in your imperfection. It’s part of the human experience.
As you breathe, let go of the pressure to be perfect. Simply allow yourself to be human. Take a deep, kind breath.
As you exhale, gently bring your awareness back to the room. When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes and carry this gentle self-compassion with you throughout the day.
That concludes today’s meditation session. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Goodbye for now.
