Welcome. Find a place where you can sit or stand comfortably. Then gently close your eyes. Allow your body to feel the pull of gravity rooting you to the earth.

Let’s begin with a deep breath. Inhale slowly through your nose, and exhale out of your mouth.

As you breathe, imagine you are a tree. Feel your feet as roots sinking deep into the ground. With each inhale, draw up a sense of calm and strength from the earth. With each exhale, release any tension down into the ground to be composted. Feel yourself supported and nourished by the earth beneath you.

Now I invite you to imagine a calm forest. The air is cool and fresh. Sunlight filters through the canopy of leaves. You can hear the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze, and the distant call of a bird. You feel a sense of quiet and tranquility here.

Walk deeper into the forest, noticing the ancient trees all around you—connected by a network of roots beneath the ground. They stand strong through the storms and seasons, rooted and resilient.

Now, find a comfortable place to sit among these trees. Feel the strength and the stillness of the forest all around you. Inhale the clean, earthy air, and exhale any sense of busyness or haste.

You are part of this natural world. This quiet forest is always within you. You can return to this feeling of peace and groundedness whenever you need it. The strength of the trees and the quiet of the forest are part of you.

Take one last deep breath. As you exhale, gently bring your awareness back to the room. When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes and carry the calm of the forest with you today.

That ends today’s meditation. We’ll see you tomorrow.
