Welcome. Find a comfortable position. Gently close your eyes and allow your body to settle in.
Alright, let’s begin with a deep breath in through your nose… and a slow, intentional breath out of your mouth. Again, inhale… and exhale.
Now as you breathe, imagine your breath as a filter. With each inhale, you breathe in clarity. With each exhale, you release mental fog and confusion. Keep breathing.
Today, we’re going to find a sense of clarity. So often our minds feel like a turbulent, muddy lake stirred up by thoughts and worries. I invite you to imagine a calm, still lake in your mind.
The surface of that lake is perfectly smooth, reflecting the blue sky above. As you breathe, imagine all the sediment, worries, and distractions slowly settling to the bottom. The water becomes clearer. The surface becomes still.
You’re able to see the bottom of the lake, no longer clouded by chaos. This calm, clear state is your natural state. When the mind is still, the answers and insights you need can naturally rise to the surface. Trust that your inner wisdom is always there beneath the surface. All you need to do is quiet the noise and let it reveal itself.
Take a final, clarifying breath in… and as you exhale, gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes, and carry this lake and sense of clarity with you throughout your day.
