Welcome. Find a comfortable place to sit, or if you want, you can lie down. Now gently close your eyes and allow yourself to relax.
Let’s begin like we always do: take a slow breath in through your nose… and a complete, full exhale out of your mouth. (gentle music)
As you breathe, bring your full attention to this present moment. Notice the air against your skin. The sounds around you—inside or outside. (soft music)
There’s nothing for you to do. Nothing you need to fix. For the next few minutes, just simply be here. Keep breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Today we’re going to focus on finding joy in simplicity. So often we wait for big, monumental moments to feel happy. But joy is already all around us in the smallest things.
I invite you to think of one simple, ordinary thing from your day that brought you a moment of quiet pleasure. It could be the taste of your coffee, the feeling of warm water, a laugh with a friend, or the sight of a beautiful sky.
As you breathe, hold that simple moment in your mind. Feel that feeling of joy. And exhale, allowing it to spread through your body.
These small moments are not insignificant. They are the building blocks of a happy life. Allow yourself to feel the warmth of that simple joy.
You have the ability to find a sparkle of happiness in the ordinary. It’s a choice you can make every day. Find the sparkle.
Now, take a final joyful breath. And as you exhale, gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
Whenever you’re ready, slowly open your eyes and look for more of these simple, joyful moments all throughout your day today.
