Welcome. Find a comfortable position. If you can, place both feet flat on the floor. Gently close your eyes.

Let’s begin by taking a deep, slow breath in… and a long exhale out.

As you breathe, bring your awareness down to the soles of your feet. Feel the connection between your feet and the floor beneath you. Imagine roots growing from the bottoms of your feet down into the earth.

With each inhale, feel energy and stability coming up from the ground. With each exhale, release any excess energy or anxiety down through your feet, grounding you. Keep breathing.

Today, we’re going to find a sense of groundedness. When we feel overwhelmed or stressed, we can feel like we’re floating or unmoored. I want you to imagine you are a strong, ancient tree—very, very old.

Your feet are your roots, holding you firmly to the earth. Your legs are your sturdy trunk. The wind may blow through your branches—these are the thoughts and worries of the day—but your roots keep you steady.

Breathe in, feeling your feet firmly planted. Breathe out, releasing any feeling of being unrooted. You are connected. You are stable. You are strong.

Feel the powerful foundation beneath you. This is your anchor, your source of stability. You can always return to this feeling of being grounded anytime.

Together, let’s take one deep breath in, feeling that solid connection to the earth. And as you exhale, gently bring your awareness back to your room.

Whenever you’re ready, slowly open your eyes, feeling grounded and present.

That concludes today’s five-minute meditation. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
